Chapter Thirteen

Electrical Installation

Electrical installation is a separate trade from roof installation — and it has its own sequencing logic. Some of it happens before panels are mounted (homerun and inter-row wiring while the roof is still clear), and the rest follows after the array is in place: conduit runs down the wall, inverter mounting and wiring, AC disconnect, and the tie-in to your service equipment.

This chapter walks through the electrical installation in the order it actually happens on the job. It covers DC wiring from the array to the inverter, all conduit work, inverter and battery connections where applicable, the AC side through to the panel, required labeling, and a pre-energization checklist before you power anything up.

Full content coming in Phase 2 Stage 7. This chapter will cover homerun and inter-row wiring before panel mounting, DC wiring to the inverter, conduit runs from roof penetration to the service area, inverter mounting and wiring, battery/ESS wiring where applicable, AC disconnect and interconnection point, NEC labeling requirements, and the pre-energization checklist.
